Prosperous prize purse for Arenacross World Tour

With the upcoming Arenacross World Tour now only just over a couple of weeks away from kicking off at the BP Pulse Arena, Birmingham on Saturday 4th January, it’s going to be a bumper start to 2025, in particular for the pro racers on the tour.

With the introduction of the World Tour finals at the brilliant Etihad Arena, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on Saturday 26th April and the six rounds of ACU British Arenacross championship visiting the U.K cities of Birmingham, London, Belfast, Aberdeen and Manchester, the pro racers and teams have a great opportunity to put some money in their pockets during the cold winter months.

Yet again, the prize purse for the Arenacross Tour has increased and with the introduction of the World Tour Finals, the road to Abu Dhabi is a prosperous one. Not only is the Arenacross tour covering the motorcycle freight, flights and accommodation for the racers, they have also put up an impressive amount of money for them to fight for. The overall prize pot on the night for the World Tour Finals in Abu Dhabi is set at £31,400 with an extra £45,000 set aside for overall championship bonuses for the riders, with £15,000 on the table for the night for the teams.

In the ACU British Arenacross championship, which is only open to British based riders racing for a U.K team or any racer who holds a British passport, the overall prize purse is also looking healthy across the six rounds. There’s £15,700 on offer at each round to cover the riders who make the final, with £4,000 per night on team bonuses and an overall championship bonus fund of £8,500. So, a great opportunity for the ‘Brits’ to ‘earn some corn’ when there’s not really much chance of racing motocross and earning in the U.K at that time of year.

It’s not just the pro riders who are also going to get the Abu Dhabi experience, as the Arenacross World Tour will also be taking 12 youth riders to the Middle East and just like the pros, covering the cost of getting them and their bikes there. Six Future class riders and six Supermini riders will be stepping aboard an Etihad Airways flight, bound for an experience of a lifetime to also race in the augural Arenacross World Tour Finals. All said and done, it’s a positive way to start the 2025 season for British off-road motorcycling.
