Solid home GP for Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team in Arnhem

The Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team scored valuable World Championship points at the Grand Prix of the Netherlands in Arnhem with Rick Elzinga and Noel Zanocz. While Elzinga finished 18th in both MXGP races in front of his home crowd, Zanocz finished both MX2 races inside the top eleven. Jeremy Seewer was forced to watch the team’s home round from the sidelines due to his injuries.

Rick Elzinga started his home weekend with the 14th-fastest time in qualifying. However, the Dutchman suffered an early setback in Saturday’s qualifying race. After a crash on the opening lap, he had to start his fightback from the back of the field. Elzinga managed to fight his way back to 20th place.
On Sunday, the KTM rider delivered two consistent race performances. Elzinga crossed the finish line in 18th place in both the first and second races, adding further World Championship points to his tally.

In the MX2 class, Noel Zanocz enjoyed a strong and consistent weekend. The Hungarian finished 12th in Saturday’s qualifying race.
In the opening race, Zanocz started around 12th position and managed to gain two places during the race, crossing the finish line in tenth. He also moved forward in the second race. Starting from 13th, he worked his way up to 11th at the finish.

Unfortunately, Jeremy Seewer was unable to compete in Arnhem. The Swiss rider suffered injuries during the previous Grand Prix in Sweden and is still recovering. Seewer was present in Arnhem to support the team and his teammates from the paddock.

Following the Dutch Grand Prix, the Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team will enjoy a weekend off before the World Championship resumes in Turkey on September 5 and 6.
