Jeremy Seewer Finishes MXGP Season Eighth in Australia

The Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team has brought the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship to a close with a solid performance at the Australian Grand Prix. Jeremy Seewer finished eighth in both races in Darwin, securing eighth place overall for the Grand Prix.

The nineteenth and final Grand Prix of the season took place in Darwin. Seewer felt comfortable on the Australian circuit from the start of the weekend and set the seventh-fastest time in qualifying.
The Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team rider also showed strong pace during Saturday’s qualifying race. Seewer came close to taking the holeshot and eventually crossed the finish line in sixth position, securing a strong starting position for Sunday’s two races.

In the opening race, Seewer once again battled inside the top ten. The Swiss rider maintained a consistent pace throughout the race and eventually finished in eighth place.

Seewer also crossed the finish line in eighth position in the second and final race of the MXGP season. With two eighth-place finishes, he collected enough points to finish the Grand Prix eighth overall.

This brought Seewer’s 2026 MXGP campaign to a solid conclusion. After joining the Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team during the season and missing several Grands Prix earlier in the year, he did not compete in the full championship. He ultimately finished seventeenth in the final 2026 championship standings.
For Seewer and the Van Venrooy KTM Racing Team, however, the international season is not quite over yet. The Swiss rider and the team will now turn their attention to the Motocross of Nations in Ernée on 3 and 4 October, where Jeremy will represent Switzerland in the MX2 class.
