Conrad Mewse and Gyan Doensen to Compete at Dutch Masters of Motocross in Oldebroek |
On Saturday, April 26, the second round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross will take place in Oldebroek. After a successful season opener in Harfsen, fans can once again enjoy a day of top-level motocross on King’s Day.
Strong Line-Up in the 500cc Class
The 500cc class continues to grow in strength, with another big name added to the starting list: Conrad Mewse. The fast Brit, riding for the Honda team of multi-time world champion Dave Thorpe, faced off several times last year against Jeffrey Herlings in the British Championship. This season, Mewse is mainly focusing on races in the UK and select rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship in the USA. His appearance in Oldebroek is a welcome addition to an already impressive line-up.
In Oldebroek, Mewse will compete against some of the sport’s top riders, including:
Jeffrey Herlings, Romain Febvre, Pauls Jonass, Jago Geerts, Calvin Vlaanderen, Brian Bogers, among others.
Gyan Doensen Steps Up to the 250cc Class
The 250cc class also promises plenty of action. Gyan Doensen, last year's Dutch Masters champion in the 125cc class, will line up in Oldebroek in the 250cc category. Due to commitments in the UK, Doensen was unable to compete in the opening round in Harfsen, but he will be present on King’s Day. The young Dutch rider is seen as a rising star and has already delivered strong performances in the 250cc class this year, including a third-place finish at the Dutch MX Season Opener in Lierop and another third place in the second moto of the EMX250 round in Trentino.
Other top riders in the 250cc class include:
Cas Valk, Rick Elzinga, Ferruccio Zanchi, David Braceras, and more.
