Top Ten Finishes for Katona and Zanocz in Heerde

Van Venrooy KTM Racing lined up on Easter Monday for the opening round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross in Heerde. Aron Katona and Noel Zanocz both managed to secure a top ten finish in one of the motos.

A strong field of competitors showed up in Heerde, which led to practice being divided into two groups. Katona was in the first group and set an impressive third-fastest time. Zanocz trained in the second group and finished eighth. Both riders were ready to give it their all in the first moto.

The first moto started with a setback for both riders. They were involved in a crash at the start, forcing them to fight their way forward from the back of the field. Katona managed to recover to seventeenth place, while Zanocz unfortunately had to retire early and return to the paddock.

With renewed motivation, both riders lined up for the second moto. Zanocz had a strong start and began the race just outside the top five. Katona worked his way forward from around fifteenth position and delivered a very strong performance. With consistent lap times, he passed rider after rider and finished in an excellent sixth place. Zanocz stayed around sixth place throughout the race and eventually crossed the line in eighth.

In the overall classification for the day, Katona finished ninth, while Zanocz ended the day in thirteenth place. Next weekend, Van Venrooy KTM Racing will compete in the Grand Prix of Sardinia.
