Winner Lierop 2023 returns to the Herselse Bossen

In 2023, the first edition of the Dutch MX Season Opener was organized in Lierop. A nice warm-up for the approaching season and this year will be no different. Brent van Doninck came to Lierop last year and won in the deep sand. 

With a 1-2 in the motos, he took the overall win and was in the form of his life. After the race in Lierop, Van Doninck continued to do well and managed to finish in the top ten in the world championship. Unfortunately, a crash in the Latvian Grand Prix, in which he dislocated his hip, brought an abrupt end to his season.

This year he will return to Lierop on Sunday 3 March to take another shot at victory. It won't be easy because none other than Jeffrey Herlings will also be behind the starting gate this year. In addition to Van Doninck, Hakon Osterhagen and Max Werner of the JM Honda Racing team will also race in Lierop.
